- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security, Office of Procurement Operations (OPO), Federal Protective Service Acquisition Division intends to acquire, under an unrestricted competition, protective security officer services at the following locations in Washington, DC: 355 E Street SW, 375 E Street SW, 395 E Street SW, and 500 E Street SW. As an integral component of the FPS security effort, the contractor shall provide and maintain all management, supervision, manpower, training, equipment, supplies, licenses, permits, certificates, insurance, pre-employment screenings, reports, and files necessary to accomplish protective security officer services at these locations. This requirement is being solicited as a commercial service acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12. It is anticipated that a single award, fixed price, indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery type contract will be established as a result of the solicitation. The contract will consist of a 60 month ordering period and a six month optional ordering period pursuant to FAR 52.217-8. The NAICS code is 561612, Security Guard and Patrol Services. The size standard is $18.5 million. The RFP shall require the submission of a technical proposal as well as a price proposal. It is anticipated that the solicitation, RFP # HSHQEC-12-R-00010, will be released to the Federal Business Opportunities website on or about May 21, 2012. A pre-proposal conference will be conducted after the issuance of the solicitation. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the website for the issuance of the RFP as well as any updates to the solicitation. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov). Further, offerors are required to go on-line to the Business Partner Network at http://orca.bpn.gov to complete their Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) prior to submittal of a proposal.
