- Required Specs. for Wire THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is EA133M-12-RQ-0386. This synopsis/solicitation constitutes a RFQ and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-58. The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), NOAA Mission Support Division/ MOA3, Norfolk, VA requires a Electromechanical Cable to lower various scientific instruments over the side of their oceangoing research vessels with delivery required by July 10, 2012 Item 0001, (1) 0.322'' Electromechanical Cable 8,050 meters long Item 0002, (1) Wooden reel for shipping and Storage of the Electromechanical Cable. The detailed specifications entitled "EM Cable Specs" is hereby incorporated by reference and provided as an attachment to this RFQ. All vendors must submit detailed specifications of product with their quote. Vendors shall include a completed copy of its representations and certifications at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items (MAR 2012), with its quote. [An offeror shall complete only paragraph (b) of this provision if the offeror has completed the annual representations and certificates electronically at http://orca.bpn.gov. If an offeror has not completed the annual representations and certifications electronically at the ORCA website, the offeror shall complete only paragraphs (c) through (o) of this provision.] Vendors shall refer to www.acquisition.gov to obtain a copy of FAR provision 52.212-3. EST on May 10, 2012; any award resulting from this RFQ will be made based on meeting the required specifications, delivery date, and price.
