- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Europe District, in conjunction with the U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA), the US European Command (EUCOM) and the US Navy, will be holding two (2) Industry Days in Romania as follows: First Industry Day: Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at a hotel in Bucharest, Romania. The name of the hotel and start time will be announced at a later date. Second Industry Day (a repeat of the first): Thursday, June 14, 2012 at a location and time to be announced later, in Caracal, Romania. The objective of this conference is to provide information on the general scope of work, the required infrastructure and facilities, and potential construction and services opportunities to support a planned U.S. missile defense asset deployment in Deveselu, Romania, within the perimeters of the existing Romanian Military Base in Deveselu. All briefings will be presented in English with no translations. The USACE anticipates that two (2) contracts will ultimately be awarded. One contract will include all MDA facilities to include all infrastructures for the entire US site. As this contract will contain some classified information, the Prime Contractor for this contract will be required to hold a Facility Security Clearance. The second contract will include all US Navy facilities with some limited infrastructure on the US site. This contract will not require the Prime Contractor to hold a Facility Security Clearance. This is an unclassified event. The facilities in Bucharest and Caracal are not handicapped accessible. Photo identification will be required at check-in. This is a no cost event.
