Description
Blackwood Material Haul Phase IIIB. The U.S. Forest Service intends to issue a Request for Quotes (RFQ) and intends to award a firm fixed price contract. This project is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB's). The NAICS code for this project is 484220. The small business size standard is no greater than $25.5 million in average annual receipts over the past three years. Only offers from firms that represent or certify (https://orca.bpn.gov/) themselves to meet both SDVOSB status and this size standard will be considered. You may contact your local U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) office for more information on SDVOSBs. Your local SBA office's contact information may be found by accessing the SBA website (www.sba.gov). The intent of this project is to procure services on an as needed basis. A qualified contractor will be hired to sort, load and weigh rocks/boulders at our Tragedy Springs Quarry and haul to our Blackwood Project stockpile area; a portion of this work is dependent on available funding. The two locations are 63 miles apart. Location: The Tragedy Springs Quarry is.3 miles North of Hwy 88 within the El Dorado National Forest and Alpine County, CA. The Blackwood Canyon stockpile area is located at the terminal end of FS Road 1503B approx 64 miles north off Barker Pass Road, 2 miles west of Hwy 89 within the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit and Placer County, CA. The solicitation package will be uploaded approximately May 21, 2012. Bid closing date will be approximately June 4, 2012. Project is estimated to begin July 23, 2012.
