Description
Under this agreement the VA Medical Center Pharmacy Service will provide prescribed vendor for the following repair. Cooling Tower Depot will provide with the following Service. The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source in a specific area of responsibility. This action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. No solicitation document is available. Point of Contact for this action is Kevin Pollard, Contracting Officer, at kevin.pollard2@va.gov. Any response needs to be emailed by May 9th, 2012 by 11:00am. STATEMENT OF WORK PSI Counter flow Cooling Tower Model CFU101821-2I-9 VA2237: 635-12-3-5406-0859 The contactor shall provide labor, supervision, and materials for repair of the two PSI Counter flow Cooling Towers, Model CFU101821-2I-9. The contractor shall perform the following: 1.Remove two (2) existing gear reducers from the North and South cells for disposal or salvage by the Government. 2.Supply and install two (2) NEW Amarillo 110 (4.25:1) Gearboxes with Low Oil Level Switch. 3.All Lube Oil System components shall be carefully removed and reinstalled. Fan assembly and components shall be re-used. 4.Fill new gear reducers with gear oil (supplied by the contractor) and correct fill levels will be marked on the sight glass at the proper elevation. 5.All mechanical components shall be aligned per manufacturer standards and adjust fan pitch as necessary. 6.Ensure each fiberglass shaft guard is properly installed. 7.Installation shall be competed using all new HDG hardware 8.Submit Fan Reducers and HDG Hardware for approval before starting working on the Cooling Tower. All contractor employees working at the site (VAMC Oklahoma City) must have background checks
