- SUBJECT: Waste Management Services VA263-12-R-0532, Minneapolis VA Hospital, The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 23 Contracting Office, Minneapolis, Minnesota intends to award a firm fixed price contract in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 17. This synopsis is notification of The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO23, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Intent to award a contract for Waste Management Services. It is our intent to award a base year plus four option years. Start date of the service will be 01 Sept 2012, subject to availability of funds. The Government intends to make a single award with a period of performance of Sept 01, 2012 through Aug 31, 2013 with four (4) one year option periods to be exercised at the Government's discretion: Option Year 1: Sept 01, 2013 - Aug 31, 2014; Option Year 2: Sept 01, 2014 - Aug 31, 2015; Option Year 3: Sept 01, 2015 - Aug 31, 2016; Option Year 4: Sept 01, 2016 - Aug 31, 2017. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 562111. The SBA size standard is $12.5 million. The solicitation will be available at https://fbo.gov. Potential offerors MUST register at https://fbo.gov in order to receive notification and/or changes to the solicitation. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any bid/proposal preparation costs. All interested parties MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Vetbiz100 database in order to receive a contract award. Register on-line at https://www.ccr.gov., http://www.vetbiz.gov Also, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications at https://orca.bpn.gov in conjunction with required registration in the CCR database. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about June 18, 2012 and will be issued via Fed Biz Opps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No telephonic inquiries will be accepted. Vendors are reminded that representatives from their company SHALL NOT contact any VISN 23 personnel to discuss this RFP during this solicitation process.
