- The U.S. General Services Administration, Great Lakes Region, is issuing a Sources Sought Announcement to determine the interest, availability, and capability of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, and Small Business concerns as described below for the interior renovation of three floors in the John Kluczynski Federal Building, 230 South Dearborn Street, Chicago, Illinois. This project will involve the renovation of approximately 60,000 USF of existing space and expansion of approximately 20,000 USF of space. Construction will include demolition, drywall partitions, security mesh, new doors, frames and hardware, carpet, paint and upgrades to mechanical and electrical systems. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The estimated construction cost is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The full extent of the work will be described in the solicitation when it is posted. No other information will be available before the solicitation is posted. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, or Small Businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. All interested parties should submit a capabilities package to include business classification (i.e. SDVOSB, HUBZone, etc..), bonding capacity, as well as examples of two projects completed within the last five years that included the work specified above that will be required under this project and that had a total project cost in the same range estimated for this project. Responses are due by Monday, May 14, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. (Central Time). NO TELEPHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
