- Background: This is a Small Business Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small businesses; HUBZone small businesses; service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition; and whether they have GSA schedule contracts under the special item number applicable to the proposed acquisition. The acquisition will be The North American Industrial Classification Standards (NAICS) Code is 541712 and Standard Business Size of 500 employees. CDC will only consider vendors listed under GSA Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services (MOBIS) Schedule 874-1 - Consulting Services. The period of performance is expected to be 36 months. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. Organizations that are not considered small businesses under the applicable NAICS code and are not listed under GSA MOBIS Schedule 874-1 should not submit a response to this notice. CDC requires a contract to provide the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP) or other CDC CIOs with assessments, evaluations, and analyses related to public health issues surrounding human vitamin and mineral requirements to increase access to micronutrients through diet, fortification, or supplementation. In order for us to know the capacity at your company which may be suitable for this large-scale survey, please answer the questions below: 1.What is your previous experience with international projects involving both micronutrient malnutrition and flour fortification initiatives? Provide information regarding the specific projects for each of the areas (contract number, client, duration, dollar value, description). 2.What is your experience and expertise in increasing the understanding of application and sustainability of nutrition interventions and food fortification on a mass scale? Please provide specific examples of previous projects that reflect the scale and type(s) of interventions and how it contributed to increased understanding. 3.Do you have or can you obtain staff with sufficient expertise in developing and implementing the following: monitoring systems and methodology, evidence based tools and materials, international training, and communications among diverse audiences? These skill sets are for the purposes of resulting in adoption of key micronutrient intervention and fortification practices and/or policies among varied populations and across various settings, both nationally and internationally. Provide information regarding available staff, including numbers of staff available, experience, and education. Teaming Arrangements: All teaming arrangements shall include the above-cited information and certifications for each entity on the proposed team. Teaming arrangements are encouraged. This is not an invitation for bid, request for proposal or other solicitation and in no way obligates CDC to award a contract. The sole intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain capabilities for set-aside and procurement planning purposes. Responses shall be limited to 5 pages.
