Description

The purpose of this amendment is to respond to vendor questions and extend the due date of all proposals/responses to May 23, 2012, 4:30 PM CST. All other terms and conditions indicated in the original synopsis/solicitation remain in full force. One signed copy of the Standard Form 30, Amendment of Solicitation, must accompany your proposal to signify acknowledgement and acceptance. RESPONSE TO VENDOR QUESTIONS 1. RESPONSE: None in Grand Island None in Omaha None in Lincoln 3. QUESTION: Since the solicitation requires a service competency for the service tech(s) that will be working on the project, could you send the appropriate form, direct where to find the form or explain what documentation is needed to meet this requirement. RESPONSE: Contractor to provide copies of training certificates and/or other documentation to the COTR to determine contractor competency 4. QUESTION: Would it be possible to get a list of the equipment (make, model and horsepower) for each unit at all three locations? Information is needed to provide the best bid as we need to know reservoir capacity for oil and other fluids used in the maintenance. RESPONSE: See Response to Question 1 5. QUESTION: (OMAHA) Please provide the data for the stand by generators for the Omaha location since the specifications for the generators are not included in the solicitation. RESPONSE: See Response to Question 1 6. QUESTION: (OMAHA) The Omaha generators have had the oil changed and serviced in the month of March for the last several years. In VA263-12-0383 it is asking it to be done in August. If we move the service out we will need to change the oil twice the first year to stay compliant with JACO otherwise the service work would expire. The schedule has been as follows. March: Oil / filter change, ATS inspections, Oil/Fuel sample of each main tank; July/August: Load bank, Oil Sample, PM I. RESPONSE: One oil change per year. Level I is to be performed in March, Level II and III are to performed annually in April or May. Level II and III call for the oil to be changed at that time. Level III combines level I, II, and III with the added duties in level III. 7. QUESTION: (GRAND ISLAND) The numbers of ATS are not mentioned for Grand Island. There are a total of 10 ATS. Do they want pricing for inspections on those? Page 10 - Level II (j) and Level III (a) - I understand Level I & Level II “ but what does Level III do? Just combine I & II? RESPONSE: VA263-12-Q-383, Statement of Work, 2. Technical (e) Level III (g) (h), and under Specified Requirements: (f) Level III service includes Load Bank Test. (g) Service will include oil change and load bank test. (h) Inspection will include oil and diesel fuel analysis. (i) Load bank testing will be conducted a minimum of four (4) hours. (j) Service will include operational Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) inspection. 8. QUESTION: (LINCOLN) Verify the number of ATS in Lincoln. RESPONSE: The Lincoln facility has ten (10) Automatic Transfer Switches; one (1) Russ Electric Model #RMT4003CEX; seven (7) Zenith Model ZTS 100E- 4AAAAELLPTW7-VA and two (2) ASCO. ATSs are located in Buildings #1, 3 & 38.
