- Description
- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT FOR A Vertex 80v High Resolution Digital Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry (FTIR) Spectrometer System. The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to award a contract on the basis of other than full-and-open competition to Bruker Optics, Inc. for a Bruker VERTEX 80V Infrared Fourier Vacuum Spectrometer System and associated components. The required system shall, as a minimum, include: a.) a separately evacuable and ventable system; b) automated beamsplitter change without breaking vacuum; c) spectral range of 15,000-50 wavenumbers (cm-1), capable of extension to 50,000-5 (cm-1); d) spectral resolution as low as 0.06 cm-1; e) capable of acquiring 100 full spectra per second at 16 cm-1 resolution; f) time resolved spectral acquisition, with temporal resolution down to 12.5 microseconds using an internal 24 bit analog to digital converter; g)signal to noise for acquisition of a 100% line spectrum exceeds 9000:1; h) patented true-align system with active alignment inside the scanning arm for real-time interferometer alignment; i) 24-bit ADC integrated with detector pre-amplifier; and j) 12 position aperture wheel. Vendors who feel capable of meeting the requirement stated above shall, within 15 days after publication of this synopsis, fully identify their interests and submit written data and verifiable documentation that demonstrates conclusively the capabilities of their proposed equipment to meet the stated requirements. Responses received after 15 days or without the required documentation will be determined non-responsive to the synopsis, and will not be considered further.
