- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Medium Endurance Cutter Product Line, intends to modify Requirements Contract Number HSCG40-12-D-20001, awarded to Welin Lambie 2/7/12, for additional spare parts required to support the Welin Lambie Dual Point Davit. These spare parts were omitted from the original solicitation and award, and it is the Government's intent to modify the existing contract to incorporate them. These supplies are required to support the Welin Lambie davits currently installed on the WMEC, WHEC, and WLB's. The Coast Guard does not possess the proprietary technical specifications, drawings, manufacturing/provisioning data, or special tools necessary to provide these parts. This information was not purchased at the time of the original acquisition and is proprietary to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Welin Lambie. It is the Government's belief that only Welin Lambie LTD in the United Kingdom has the capability to provide these supplies. Welin Lambie does not currently have any authorized distributors or dealers. However, other potential sources can submit information demonstrating their capabilities to provide genuine OEM parts. This information shall include, but is not limited to: (1) Data that the offered supplies have been satisfactorily provided to the OEM or the Government in the past; and/or (2) a written letter, signed by the OEM, that verifies the offeror's capability to access OEM drawings, specifications, and special tools. The Government does not intend to pay for any information that is submitted in response to this synopsis.
