- This is a Special Notice only, which is being issued in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 5.201(b)(1)(2). This is not a solicitation/request for proposal and no contract shall be resultant from this synopsis. The Department of the Air Force, Tinker Global Logistics Supply Center's (GLSC) Propulsion and Strategic Branch (848 SCMG/PKAB) intends to increase the Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) on CLIN 0046 Stage 1 Turbine Nozzle, NSN 2840-01-317-8323 OK P/N 6029T45G12 from 2 each to 20 each. This increase is a direct result of the change in support posture for the United States Navy (USN) -21 engine. The USN is experiencing a higher change out rate of Stage 1 Turbine Nozzles due to an increase of 900/1800 engine inspections. This increase will be factored into our future calculations for repair/buy requirements.
