Description

This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopses and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR UNDER N00164-08-D-JN32. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, intends to modify the existing firm-fixed-price, supply-type contract N00164-08-D-JN32, awarded to Dillon Aero, Inc. of Scottsdale, AZ on 24 September 2008, for the procurement of MK44 Mini-Gun weapons components, with the addition of two Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN) for Slide Assembly, Left P/N DGMT0200 and 4000 Round Gear Reduction P/N DMG0003 to satisfy requirements within the scope of the effort. The shipping terms shall be FOB destination and delivery dates shall be mutually agreed upon during negotiations. Inspection and acceptance shall occur at the origin. The total contract maximum dollar value of 29,999,959.44 USD will remain unchanged as a result of this modification. This contract action will be conducted on an other that full and open competition basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The basis for restricting competition is the proprietary rights of Dillon Aero, Inc. and the duplicative costs to the Government to utilize another source to satisfy the Governments stated requirement.
