Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs anticipates soliciting bids and consequently awarding a contract for the construction project titled "Construct Specialty Clinic". Any acquisition that follows this pre-solicitation notice will be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 - Contracting by Negotiation and Part 36 - Construction and A-E Contracting, and other applicable regulations. The solicitation will be advertised as a Total Set Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, supplies, travel, etc. to perform all work to construct a new specialty clinic, 2 story slab on grade approximately 27,000 square feet. This clinic will include 58 exam rooms, 9 chemo treatment stations, 2 procedure rooms, and admin operational support. Location will be at VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System, Reno, Nevada. The period of performance should be 365 calendar days. Magnitude of construction is expected to between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. NAICS code for this acquisition is 236220, with size standard of $33.5M. The solicitation documents including specifications and drawings will be issued on or about June 18, 2012 and will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities. This date is subject to change. Hard copy documents including drawings will not be available - all documents for bidding purposes will be posted at this website for download. Site visit information will be provided upon issuance of solicitation. Only one site visit is planned. Bids will be due 30 days after issuance of solicitation unless extended by amendment. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this announcement.
