- Project Information Notes DOL Wage Determination Drawings Specifications RFQ# AG-82X9-S-12-0110 There are four shelters in total. One of the shelters would be a large group shelter and the three others would be small shelters with one each for each of the three individual picnic sites. The shelters are in the base bid as roofless structures and have two alternative bid items for the two alternate roofs (and either/or choice for the roofs - Alternative Bid #s 1 & 2) and one optional bid item (the architectural trusses). This document contains: A. Salient Characteristics B. Base Bid C. Alternative Bid Items (2 ea.) D. Optional Bid Item (1 ea.) E. Delivery Specifications A. Salient Characteristics Design to local codes: Ground Snow Load = 20 psf Sustained Wind Load = 75 mph (or 22.5 psf) Psf =.004 x V^2 (V=wind speed) 3-Second Wind Burst = 90 mph (or 32.4 psf) Exposure Class = C Seismic Rating = D Frost Line = 30 inches depth 1. Metal posts, beams, rafters and roof 2. Gable roof systems 3. Roof pitch approximately 4:12 4. Roof overhangs vertical support posts by 2' 5. Fascia/rake boards shall be 6" wide on the large shelter and 4" wide on the smaller shelters 6. Vertical distance from ground to bottom of tension beam to be approximately 8'. 7. Rafters/beams/posts square or rectangular metal powder coated Sherwin Williams 6108 Latte or approved equal. Sizes: group shelter shall be 24' x 34' with 6" x 8" beams and rafters and 8' square posts and the three individual picnic site shelters shall be 16' x 18' with 4" x 6" beams and rafters and 6" square posts. 8. Posts surfaces shall be parallel to the building roof edge. 9. Rafters on shall be parallel or ‘flat' to the roof to reduce horizontal surfaces to discourage bird nesting and exposed to within 2" of roof edge 10. Lightning protection system shall be installed A. Base Bid (roofless shelters) Shelters (one 24' x 34' and three 16' x 18') B. Alternative Bid Items (roofs): 1. Multi-Rib (MR) roofing system powder coated Sherwin Williams 6062 Rugged Brown or approved equal. (Includes: roofing panels, ridge trim, gable flashing, edge trim.) 2. Metal A606 Type 4 Deep Wave corrugated "Rusty" Metal Roofing. (Includes: roofing panels, ridge trim, gable flashing, edge trim.) D. Optional Bid Item (Architectural truss): 1. On gable ends of each shelter install an architectural truss. The truss shall consist of a chord beam running from post top to post top with 3 short posts running up from the center point of the beam. One up to the ridge beam and two flanking ones to the rafters at right angles. Sizes according to Salient Characteristics. E. Delivery: The site is 12 miles north of Colorado State Highway (CSH) 14 (S 28, T10N, R59W). To access drive north on Weld County Road (CR) 129 from CSH 14 at New Raymer, west on CR 110 to Forest Service System Road (FSSR) 807 to site. The picnic shelter(s) supplier shall coordinate with the site contractor responsible for structure erection regarding delivery. The site contractor shall be responsible for off-loading the picnic shelter(s) materials and assuring appropriate condition until acceptance by the government.
