Description
Please note that this is a modification to the previous sources sought announcement R12SS20156. The purpose of this modification is to provide a revised principle components of work and extend the response due date as follows: PRINCIPAL COMPONENT OF WORK: The following four sections present principal components of work, but do not address all work items or tasks required for completion of this work. Describe your firm's experience performing and ability to manage the following types of work. Please provide information regarding components you plan to subcontract and if known, provide information describing their experience and abilities. 1. Dam Crest Structure - design and construct mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls to include excavating existing embankments, constructing two parallel Contractor-designed MSE walls (not to exceed 25 feet above dam crest and capacity to support highway traffic), and contractor designed mechanically stabilized earth fill. Mechanically stabilized earth fill to consist of constructing zone fill embankment dam with filter materials, gravel drain materials, and drainage pipes. 2. Spillway construction - to include constructing earth fill cofferdam, removing existing concrete, constructing cast-in-place concrete, and furnishing and installing new chain link fence. 3. Construct Saddle dikes - to include excavation, foundation preparation, and furnishing and placing compacted embankment material at multiple sites. 4. Site Preparation - to include clearing forested areas for roads, constructing Contractor and Government use areas, stock piles locations, haul roads, and borrow areas. To include restoration and removal of haul roads, borrow areas, stock piles locations, and use areas. All interested parties are encouraged to respond to this notice, by e-mail to edanger@usbr.gov not later than 5:00 PM PST on 05/25/2012. The information provided in this announcement is all information the Government has available at this time. There are no specifications, drawings, bid packages, or source lists available.
