Description
NOTICE OF DECISION TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE-SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) Air Traffic Organization, Flight Inspection Services Group (AJW) proposes to acquire by a single source acquisition, Runway Awareness and Advisory System (RAAS) Enable Keycards. Nine each of P/N 718-1597-001, for the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) units. The FAA, MMAC, intends to award a Contract to Honeywell Aerospace, 15001 NE 36th Street, Redmond, WA 98073 (Duns Number 009533998). The NAICS code for this effort is 336413 "Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing" with a size standard of 1000 employees. This procurement is considered to be single-source based on standardization, certification processes and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) proprietary rights. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
