Description
Response to questions is provided. Question 1: Though student locations (from and to Ontario International Airport) were listed in the contract documents there are few locations that list 20-20 students (Phoenix, Albuquerque, Tucson). Will the 20-30 students be traveling all at once at the same date or will they be travelling individually on separate dates though there will be 20-30 of them going to the same location? This will help us reserve the type of aircraft for a specific capacity for the project and propose a budget for it. RESPONSE: a. The required student air travel reservation services are specifically to be provided for students to attend school and to return to their home locations, as scheduled by Sherman Indian High School (SIHS). b. SIHS does its' best to have the bulk or majority of the students travel on the 4 designated travel days, or as close to, as commercial airline flights are available. c. Incidental air travel services will be needed. d. SIHS student enrollment does vary from School Year to School Year, from semester to semester. Question 2: How frequent per semester or month these trips are ??? RESPONSE: a. The majority of travel to SIHS and home occurs 4 times each School Year (August and December travel under one round trip ticket; January and May travel under one round trip ticket). b. There will be incidental travel for students that are sent home for a variety of reasons; that travel will be sporadic and vary at different times throughout a given School Year. Question 3: Would it be possible to obtain a schedule from last/previous year's travels if this project was active last years as well ?? RESPONSE: See Solicitation Document, Section C "Descriptions and Specifications", Item 5 for historical information for School Year 2011-2012. The contractor must be able to schedule commercial air travel reservation services as required by SIHS. As identified in Section C, the majority of air travel reservations are for August, December, January and May of each school year; incidental travel will vary throughout the school year months. Question 4 If this project was serviced last year by another operator are they not interested in renewal or why is it that this year are you looking for a new operator ? RESPONSE: For School Year 2011-2012, excellent Student Air Travel Services were provided by another operator. When addtional services are needed that are outside of the current Scope of Work, the Govenrment is required to is issue a new solicitation.
