- Description
- The contractor shall support PET data collection for research purposes for individuals that provide informed consent for NCPTSD related research studies. The data is intended to be utilized for research purposes only in VA Human Subjects Subcommittee (HSS) Yale Human Investigations Committee (HIC) approved investigations that provide information on the clinical neuroscience of posttraumatic stress disorder. The PET data are processed, analyzed, and the results are summarized in peer reviewed scientific proceedings and manuscripts. Further, the PET data serve as preliminary data for federal grant applications to support further NCPTSD research objectives, which broadly defined are to understand the impact of traumatic stress and related comorbid conditions on brain functioning and behavioral outcomes.. Scope This effort will enable collection of PET research data at Yale University that is not otherwise possible at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System. The Government expects that PET data collected is provided as high quality and usable for research purposes, not clinical purposes, to support scientific data analysis.. Tasks The level of effort statement of work is as follows. Yale University will provide access to PET facilities for collection of research PET data. Collection of PET data is performed and billed in per study increments at the rate conforming to the contractor's published commercial rate as published on the contractor's web site, which may be adjusted once annually. There are two main task areas that the contract supports. The tasks are completed for each individual enrolled in a PET research study.Task 1: PET data collection. Yale University performs PET data collection as specifically requested by NCPTSD scientific investigators. The specific protocols for data acquisition may vary according to study goals, and this is coordinated with Yale personnel who assist with data collection. Task 2: PET data is pre-processed and provided for electronic transfer. De-identified, no attached identifiable personal information,
