- Revised PWS to show correct quantities of equipment. Site Visit Questions and Answers Arnold Hall Speaker Renovation Questions and Answers 1. Height to ceiling? A. 17 feet from the audience floor to the drop ceiling and an additional 3 feet to the structural ceiling 2. Access for a scissor or bucket lift? A. YES. Access from the outside measures 60 inches wide by 80 inches high. 3. Should the speakers be set up as "stereo" or "mono"? A. Stereo. 4. Is this a brand name or equal requirement? A. YES. 5. Should the speakers be powered or non-powered? A. Powered. 6. The solicitation and the PWS differ in saying how many speakers should be on each side. The solicitation says two (2) speakers total, one (1) on each side and the PWS says four (4) speakers total, two on each side. Which is right? A. The Solicitation is correct. The requirement is for two (2) speakers total, one on each side of the stage. They are to be hung inside the stage proscenium if possible. If not they will be hung outside the proscenium (toward the audience). 7. Do both the speaker power and signal wires need to be run in conduit? A. NO. Only the power wires must be run in conduit. 8. Is there space in the existing component rack for the addition of the Processor? A. YES. 9. Distance to power panel? A. The power panel is located ten (10) feet beyond the right proscenium wall (looking out from the stage). 10. Distance to current audio equipment? A. The existing audio equipment is located 10 feet beyond the left proscenium wall (looking out from the stage). 11. Will permits be provided or will contractors be providing the permits for electrical installations? A. NO. They don't have to have a permit but any electrical must be performed by a qualified electrician.
