Description
MB-50 Equipment (MB-50 Amplifier, MB-50 Antenna, MB-50 Dual BA5590 Power Cable (24 VDC) Closing Date: 11 June 2012, 1:30 p.m. (CST) The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Tactical Support Equipment Inc. (TSE), 4039 Barefoot Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This acquisition is for MB-50 Tactical Communication System. These items are compatible to the system that requesting activity currently has. Requirements are for the contractor to provide 26 EA, Amplifier MB-50 (TSE-AMP-MB50), 26 EA MB-50 Antenna (TSE-MB50-ANT), and 26 EA 50 Watts Battery Cable (Dual BA5590 Power Cable (24 VDC)). The MB-50 system is "Joint Interoperability Test Command," (JITC) certified, capable of SINCGARS, HaveQuick, HPW and DAMA and easily handles large data transmissions. The JITC tested and certified the terminal for conformance to Military Standard (MIL-STD)-188-181B, 182A and 183A in accordance with CJCSI 6251.01C. The MB-50, Amplifier is capable of SINCGARS, HaveQuick, HPW and DAMA and easily handles large data transmissions. The key feature of this amplifier is a custom nested BNC connector on the face of the amplifier which allows for the direct connection of MB-50 Antenna or the PSC-5 and 117F/G VHF/UHF antennas current in the DOD inventory. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334220 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. This sole source requirement will be procured under Other Than Full and Open Competition procedures and awarded on an unrestricted basis. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and a solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer not later than 11 June 2012, 1:30 pm CST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with TSE. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 15 Contracting by Negotiation.
