Description
The US Forest Service on the Savannah River Site has a requirement for the renovation of the HVAC System in Buildings 760-G and 760-1G, The performance period is 60 calendar days after the issuance of a Notice to Proceed. The project consists of renovating the heating and cooling systems serving buildings 760-G (Engineering and Environmental Services) and 760-1G (Fire and Aviation Management, Fleet Management, Emergency Coordination Center). The principal features of work to be performed under this contract include the following:Demolition of existing HVAC equipment, ventilation fans and ducts, and associated registers, grilles, and electrical appurtenances. Installation of Mitsubishi City-Multi systems and controls in two buildings with approximately 1 wall-mounted, 1 ceiling-mounted, and 35 ceiling cassette type units total. Installation of two Mitsubishi Lossnay Energy Recovery Ventilators in each building with associated ductwork, building roof and wall penetrations, and controls. Installation of condensate drain system in each building. Electrical circuit and equipment installation to support new HVAC equipment. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The Project Site is within the boundaries of the Savannah River Site, Aiken, Barnwell and Allendale Counties, South Carolina. The Savannah River Site is a restricted access Government facility and vehicle searches are done on all vehicles entering the Site. No contraband items, such as guns, ammunition, drugs etc. are allowed on Site. A picture ID of persons entering the Site is required. If a site visit will be held, the required information/processes will be provided when the solicitation is posted to this website. A minimum of 72 hours is required to process any security badge requests for U.S. Citizens and up to 30 days could be required for non-U.S. citizens. Offerors must register on this website in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation and any subsequent postings. A Site Visit is scheduled for Weds 20 June 2012 at 9:30 AM in bldg 760-15G. Contractors interested in attending the site vist must provide the following information to Jim Thompson at jamesthompson@fs.fed.us and provide the following information; Full Name, Social Security No., Company Name, and Date of Birth no later than close of business on Friday 15 June 2012. The soliciation will be available on this site on or about 6 June 2012
