Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Bio-Rad Laboratories, 2000 Alfred Nobel Drive, Hercules, CA 94547-1804, to purchase continued maintenance for the following Bio-Rad equipment: six iQ5 Optical Modules with iCycler chassis, serial numbers 575BR2873 / 582BR18334, 575BR1874 / 582BR18263, 575BR2696 /582BR19882, 575BR2763 / 582BR20056, 575BR1960 / 582BR18378, 575BR1824 / 582BR18116 (unlimited onsite repair); DNA engine PTC0200WMAMT (mail in service agreement); add-on to service agreement for iCyclers #PMONSITE-GXD; and #PMMAILIN-GXD add-on for service agreement for DNA engine, to begin July 25, 2012 and to last for no longer than one year. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued. Interested persons may use e-mail to identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement before the expiration date of the advertisement.
