Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, intends to purchase 20 each of the following item from Kathrein, Inc., Scala Division; 4-Way Power Divider, Scala P/N 751 10136, 30-16MM Tube Size 7-16 Diameter Female In and N Female Out, 1000 Watts Power Rating, 146-174 MHZ w/P/N 759 044 or P/N 169 097 Mounting Arm. The Scala 1000 Watt 4-Way Power Divider (P/N 751 10136), ASN: B370-A2) is used as part of the 1000 W 4 Bay and 8 Bay Scala Antenna Kits (B370-ZER0DEG-KIT, B370-ONEDEG-KIT, B371-ZERODEG-KIT) for the NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) transmitters. The transmitters are used to broadcast weather information and warnings to the public. The power divider is an integral part of the antenna and used by National Weather Service (NWS) and contractor technicians to assemble 1000 Watt 4 and 8-Bay Scala Antennas. They are also needed as replacement spares in case an existing power divider fails on the Scala Antenna assembly. There are over 25 power dividers that have already been purchase and issued to the National Weather Service (NWS) and contractor personnel. The power dividers are also needed for spare replenishment at the National Logistics Support Center (NLSC) parts depot. The intended procurement is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. All proposals received within 7 calendar days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. The Government reserves the right to solicit bids based on the receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue an order to Kathrein Inc., Scala Division, whichever is determined to be more advantageous to the Government without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In order to be considered, firms must furnish detailed information concerning their capability to provide this product. Interested firms should submit its name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and a brief statement regarding its capability to provide the specified item or an item that provides the same fit, form and function as that specified. Any responses that provide for a part other than that specified must be accompanied by descriptive literature and certified test results that show it meets the same form, fit and function of the part number specified (P/N 751 10136). Also include the name, telephone number, and point of contact for businesses or other Government agency to which it has previously provided the item. The NAICS code for this item is 334419. No award can be made unless the vendor is registered with CCR.
