Description
Burlington and Minot Levee Repair, Phase - 2, Ward County, North Dakota. This procurement is for the restoration of eight project features located at multiple sites that were damaged due to severe flooding in 2011 along the Souris River. The work required primarily consists of levee and channel restoration along the federal flood control project. The base bid entails work at three separate sites. The work includes but is not limited to site preparation, removal of unsuitable material, excavation, placement of impervious fill, and placement of riprap. Option 1, consists of one site located near Burlington, ND. The work performed in Option 1 includes but is not limited to clearing and grubbing, excavation, placement of impervious fill, placement of riprap, and topsoil and seeding. Option 2, consists of three sites. The work required in Option 2 includes but is not limited to site preparation, clearing and grubbing, placement of impervious fill, topsoil and seeding, sediment removal from an existing ponding area, and the replacement of a damaged chain link fence. Option 3, consists of one site. The work required in Option 3 includes but is not limited to site preparation, removal of unsuitable material, excavation, placement of impervious fill, and placement of riprap. The estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. This solicitation is being issued as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) and will be 100% set aside for small business concerns. The solicitation along with plans and specifications is expected to be posted to this site on or near 22 June 2012.
