- Contractor will provide all labor, equipment and materials necessary to place concrete in accordance with the tasks listed under the scope of work. All areas where resurface material is to join existing roadways, curbs, bridges, concrete areas, sidewalks, manholes, cut-off valve covers, walls, fences or similar objects shall be compacted to ensure a smooth transition exists between all surfaces. Do not pave over any cutoff valve or manhole covers. Grass shall be cut back from all edges then swept and cleaned prior to laying the resurface material. Areas on existing pavement in which an accumulation of sediment, dirt, gravel or similar material and other foreign debris must first be cleaned of material and swept before new asphalt surface is placed. Entire surface of existing pavement shall be covered with tack oil and paved on the same day.
