- SPEC - 420WAGB Fire and Smoke Detectors This is a sources sought notice issued in accordance with FAR part 5. For information regarding this acquisition, contact the Contracting officials listed herein. All inquiries shall be in writing. The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB), or for Small Businesses. Response by interested parties must be made by interested parties by June 20, 2012. The NAICS is 238210 and the business size standard is $14 million. This U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center requirement is to procure services to remove the existing Ionization Detectors with base, Fire Alarm Control Panels and install Contractor Furnished Fire Alarm Systems and Smoke Detectors on the USCG Healy. This is in accordance to the attached Statement of Work, entitled "SPEC - 420WAGB Fire and Smoke Detectors". Period of Performance: It is anticipated that a firm, fixed priced requirements contract will be awarded with one base year, and four option years. Place of Performance: On board the U.S. Coast Guard cutter "Healy". Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to provide the fire alarms and smoke detectors are invited to submit complete information, discussing the same within 14 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information should include clear understanding of the Statement of Work as it relates to performance of this contract. If you intend to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by email to shadonna.d.minnis@uscg.mil. In your response you must include: (a) a positive statement of your intention to submit a proposal for this solicitation as a prime contractor, and (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles and dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers. At least two references are requested, but more are desirable. Your response is required by June 20, 2012, 4:00 pm (EST). Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. Submission of this data for review shall not impede the award of this contract as planned. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited.
