Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a modification under an existing contract for the manufacture, acceptance testing, and delivery of AN/ALQ-99 Band 4 Output Traveling Wave Tube (OTWT) Replacement Module (OTRM) Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) units and DC-DC Converters (DCCs), along with an option for qualification regression testing. The Band 4 OTRM is a component of the AN/ALQ-99 Band 4 Transmitter used on the EA-6B and EA-18G aircraft. The applicable NAICS Code is 334411, Electron Tube Manufacturing. NAVAIR intends to negotiate the modification on a sole source basis with Teledyne Wireless, LLC, dba Teledyne MEC, 11361 Sunrise Park Drive, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. As the designer and developer of the Band 4 OTRM and DCC, Teledyne is the only firm with the requisite system knowledge, engineering expertise, and technical data necessary to produce the Band 4 OTRM LRIP and DCC units within the Government's required time frame.
