Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Construction & Facilities Management is looking for General Construction firms that are SDVOSB, and VOSB. Additionally, the VA is looking for General Construction firms that are SBA certified in the following programs: 8(a), 8(a) ANC, HUBZone, SDB and WOSB. The firm must be a General Construction firm approved under NAICS Code 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 Million and must have general construction and site development experience with contracts as the prime contractor. The estimated magnitude for this project is between five million ($5,000,000) and ten million ($10,000,000). A bid bond as well as a performance bond will be required. Phase II Renovations of buildings 1&4. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, transportation, supervision, supplies, tools, equipment, permits, and licenses required for demolition, removal and disposal of existing structures and improvements, abatement and disposal of asbestos containing materials; and removal and disposal of other existing improvements to make way for and/or prepare areas to receive new construction, and renovation of certain areas in Buildings 1 and 4 as detailed in the contract documents. The contractor shall coordinate construction activities with the VA Resident Engineer's Office. The hospital shall be in full operation during the construction period and contractor shall insure that his construction activities do not interfere with hospital operations. The main lobby will be renovated as part of this contract and this work will be phased so that the lobby remains active most of the time during the renovations process. Before construction operations begin, contractor shall perform a detailed HVAC survey as described in the contract documents. The contractor shall provide a contractor Quality Control plan. The project site is located Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 7400 Merton Minter, San Antonio, TX 78229. At this time, no solicitation exists, therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A SOLICITATION. Small Business Contractors and Vendors having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. Responses should include the following information: 1. Name and address of your firm. 2. Name, phone number, and email address of a point of contact. 3. DUNS number. 4. Bonding capacity. 5. Capabilities Statement. 6.Certified of Small Business Status, 7. Available Bonding Capacity, 8. Construction experience of similar projects in size and complexity. Respondents are requested to submit a Capability Statement that exhibits clear and convincing evidence of your firm's capabilities and experience to perform the listed tasks.
