Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement Contract N00019-12-G-0006 with the Bell Boeing Joint Project Office on an ‘other than full and open' competitive basis to address reliability and maintainability driven issues. The goal is to improve service life while resolving corrosion problems on the aluminum under floor structure of the MV/CV-22 Osprey aircraft. In order to mitigate corrosion problems, NAVAIR PMA-275 desires to apply COR-BAN 35 Corrosion Inhibiting Compound (CIC) to the lower section of all aluminum structures within the fuselage and the ramp of the aircraft. This effort is for the production Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) efforts to implement the COR-BAN 35 CIC onto the MV/CV-22 Osprey. Bell-Boeing possesses the requisite knowledge and expertise required to incorporate the COR-BAN 35 CIC onto the V-22 production line, in an expeditious manner, without impacting cost and schedule. For subcontracting opportunities please contact Ralph D'iorio at 610-591-9157 or Ralph.b.d'iorio@boeing.com and Matthew Sticksel at 817-280-3103 or msticksel@bellhelicopter.textron.com.
