- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for market research purposes. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Surface and Microanalysis Science Division requires the upgrade of an existing Bruker D8 X-Ray Diffractometer. The upgrade requires the integration of new and existing hardware and software to enable microscopic and nano-scale measurement capabilities. NIST is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including large, foreign, and small businesses with the experience to perform the work required and that previous experience working with Government agencies on critical websites. Small businesses are defined under the associated NAICS code for this effort, 334516, with a size standard of 500 employees or less. Please include your company's size classification in any response to this notice. If two or more small businesses are identified, we will consider a set-aside. Companies that have the capability to perform the above required upgrade to the Bruker instrument are requested to email information to andrea.parekh@nist.gov no later than the response date for this sources sought notice. Companies must be authorized, by Bruker, to perform the required upgrade to the existing NIST-owned Bruker instrument. Responses shall include any information relevant to your capabilities. Also, the following information is requested as part of the response to this sources sought notice: 1. Name and size of the company that will be performing the work. 2. Indication of whether these services are currently on one or more GSA Federal Supply Schedule contracts and, if so, the GSA FSS contract number(s). 3. Any other relevant information that is not listed above which the government should consider in finalizing its market research.
