Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. THIS IS NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE TASK ORDER against Basic Ordering Agreement W58RGZ-04-G-0023 under the authority of U.S.C. 2304 ( c ) (1) and regulatory authority at FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, for The United States Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal, Alabama (ACC-Redstone Arsenal) 35898-5280. The contemplated requirement will be sole sourced to the Boeing Company, Route 291 & Stewart Avenue, Ridley Park, PA 19078-1099. The anticipated award date is prior to 30 September 2012. The Statement of Work, For An Improved Cockpit Seat H-47 Aircraft specifies the quantities, activities, and responsibilities for the purchase of non-recurring engineering services for an Improved Cockpit Seat for CH-47 Aircraft. The services consist of non-recurring engineering for a study of crash attenuation cockpit seats to identify those that meet Government requirements and can be integrated into the H-47 helicopter. The study shall include survey results, an analysis of the non-recurring engineering required to the seats and the airframe, and an assessment to analyze and verify the seats meet the Government requirements. Draft performance specifications for the cockpit seats and an Engineering Change Proposal shall also be prepared. The design and manufacture of the H-47 airframe is proprietary to The Boeing Company. This synopsis is provided for informational purposes and is not to be considered a request for proposal (RFP). However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Agency. The proposal shall be sent to by email to Jae Steele at the email address below. NOTE: This requirement is for non-recurring engineering services.
