Description
Supply equipment, operators, and labor for construction of watershed habitat restoration structures on Pine Creek. Work includes installing approximately 15 log cluster structures composed of approximately 200 logs to create log complexes and stabilize streambanks. Log complexes will be designed to create scour pools and provide hiding cover in the stream. In addition another 340 trees will be logged and decked for a different instream project. Logging of trees for project. Trees for this project are currently located adjacent to a timber sale unit off the 9039 road. See Map. Work includes logging standing green trees, and pushing over green trees so we can attain trees with rootwads. 160 trees will be transported as long as possible with a minimum length of 50 feet to the staging area on Pine Creek for use on this project. Another 340 trees will be logged and decked onsite for use on another instream project. In addition approximately 40 large logs with rootwads are decked at Pine Creek Work Center. These will need to be moved to Pine Creek Staging Area, this may require a loader or excavator at both Pine Creek Work Center and Pine Creek staging area simultaneously. The solicitation package will be posted on 6/22/12 with an expected response due date of 7/3/12.

Place of Performance
Address: Project work for is located approximately 40 miles N.E. of Amboy, Washington. The project location is at Township 7N, Range 6E Sections 14. The project can be located by traveling northeast of Amboy on Highway 503 and continuing until the road turns into Forest Road 90. Continue for approximately 14 miles until the junction of the 25 road and 90 roads. Continue on the 25 road approximately ¾ of a miles and turn north on 2590 road. Continue on the 2590 road north for a half mile and the road splits. Turn northwest on an unnamed spur road and follow for 1000ft. This is the access point to the start of the project., Logging unit is located approximately 51 miles N.E. of Amboy Washington. In Township 7N, Range 7E Section 18. The project can be located by traveling northeast of Amboy on Highway 503 and continuing until the road turns into Forest Road 90. Continue for approximately 14 miles until the junction of the 25 road and 90 road. Turn right and follow the 90 road for 5.5 miles and turn left onto the 9039 road. Follow the 9039 road for approximately 5.0 miles until coming to the logging unit. The logging unit is marked and continues along this road for several hundred feet., Pine Creek Work Center is located near the junction of Forest Road 25 and 90., Amboy, Washington, United States
