Description

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. It is not a solicitation. The purpose of this notice is for market research to gain knowledge of qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 541380, size standard $14M. The Government will use responses to make appropriate acquisition decisions. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 22 is seeking sources to provide external lab testing for the VA San Diego Healthcare System. The specific tests required are as follows: (1) D-dimer quant, (2) COCCI comp fix, (3) Sirolimus, (4) DRVV test, and (5) pH by pH meter. Estimated quantities for a three-month period are (1) 1, (2) 60, (3) 15, (4) 1, and (5) 12. The Government anticipates issuing a one-year purchase order for these tests. These tests may require a 24-hour turnaround and/or immediate pickup from the VA San Diego to maintain specimen stability. Qualified parties are invited to respond. Responses should include company name, address, point of contact, phone and fax numbers, email address, DUNS number, and size of business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is your business large or small? (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small emerging business, or small disadvantaged business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. (4) Is your firm a certified HubZone firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified service disabled veteran owned small or veteran owned small business? Email responses to Evelyn McKenna at evelyn.mckenna@va.gov or fax 562-961-1357 no later than June 27, 2012 at 3:30 PM PST. Telephone responses will not be accepted. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or make an award, nor does the notice restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. A response to this Sources Sought Notice is not a request to be added to a prospective bidder's list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Interested offerors must respond to the solicitation, if issued, in addition to responding to this Sources Sought Notice.
