- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE SOLICITATION # VA69D-12-B-0952 Pre-solicitation announcement for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Edward Hines JR. VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois is hereby issued. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about July 5, 2012 for a Firm Fixed Priced, Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for small construction projects for a base period of one year. NAIC Code 236220 applies to this procurement. VA will issue individual task orders against this contract and contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, materials, labor and qualified supervision to complete the projects. Work will include but not be limited to interior renovations, carpentry; asphalt and concrete paving; roofing; excavation; carpet, window, door installation; painting; and stucco; demolition; masonry and fire protection construction. Minimal electrical, mechanical, plumbing and asbestos abatement work may be performed. Individual Task Orders will be between $2,000 and $500,000 and the guaranteed minimum contract value is $150,000.00. The maximum contract price shall not exceed $4,999,000.00. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), this procurement is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms (SDVOSB). In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), the SDVOSB must verified in http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov prior to bid submission. The solicitation will be issued on/about July 5, 2012 with the bid opening on/about August 6, 2012. Dissemination of the solicitation will be limited to electronic medium. Interested Bidders (primes & subcontractors) should register at www.fedbizopps.gov so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement and for automatic receipt of updates or amendments. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov. By registering to "Receive Notification", you will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of bids.
