Description
The Wilkes Barre Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes Barre, PA intends to award a sole source contract for magnetic resonance system support and training services, specifically TiP Lifecycle 4-day training to General Electric, 3200 N. Grandview Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188. Period of performance is one-year from the date of award. This procurement is being made pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) 1 and FAR Part 6.302-1, for other than full and open competition; only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 611710 and the size standard is $7.0M. The following services are required: CLIN 0001: TiP Apps Lifecycle 4 Day Training Program, which consists of one customer needs assessment per year led by GE TiP Applications, 14 hours per year of TiP Virtual Assist on Demand, and 4 Days per year of on-site TiP Applications Training. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency by 12:00 PM EDT on 25 June 2012 via email to Rachel.Turk@va.gov. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Capability statements received by the response date of this announcement may be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. Oral submissions of information are not acceptable and will not be accepted in response to this notice.
