Description

This is a notice for information from companies who can provide parts and service for automation line and equipment needed to connect existing contracted laboratory equipment at the VA Medical Center in Philadelphia. The automation equipment is being purchased to help the lab fulfill its customer needs to report laboratory testing in a timely manner. The current configuration is manual transport of the specimen from one section of the laboratory to another for additional testing. The automation is a robotic system of transportation of the laboratory specimens from pre-analytics (specimen receipt and centrifugation), analytics (specimen testing) and finally post-analytics (storage). Only Beckman Coulter automation is currently configurable with the current equipment. This is part of a standardization being conducted in the VISN 4 laboratories. We currently have 2 Beckman Coulter DXI Immunoassay analyzers and 3 DXC general chemistry analyzers which are maintained under contract VA244-BP-0077 for the next 4 years. The parts provided would have to connect with the Beckman Coulter contracted equipment.
