- J&A for Other Than Full and Open Competition Solicitation number FA3A92111A001 for the IDS System Upgrade at Columbus AFB, MS is modified as follows: (1) Added: FAR 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract Option to Extend the Term of the Contract (Mar 2000) (a) The Government may extend the term of this contract by written notice to the Contractor within 60; provided that the Government gives the Contractor a preliminary written notice of its intent to extend at least 15 days before the contract expires. The preliminary notice does not commit the Government to an extension. (b) If the Government exercises this option, the extended contract shall be considered to include this option clause. (c) The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options under this clause, shall not exceed 18 months. (2) Questions pertaining to the requirements must be submitted in writing not later than (NLT) 1500 hours CDT on 29 Jun 12. (3) All offers must be submitted by email to the Contracting Specialist NLT 1600 hours CDT on 16 Jul 12. Oral or fax quotes will not be accepted. (This clarifies the original method of submitting proposals that was stated in the solicitation) (4) This solicitation is issued under a Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition, see attached J&A. (5) The site visit will begin at the Columbus AFB, MS Visitor Center at 0800 on 25 Jun 12. The Visitor Center is locate just outside the Main entrance gate on "Happy" Irby Parkway off US Hwy 45 North.
