- This is a one time buy requirement for 22 each Radar Modulators, NSN: 5841-01-090-3434, P/N: 2036561-0501. This requirement involves the submission of 2 First Article Units for Government First Article Testing. Approved First Articles are to be considered as a part of the overall production quantity of 22 each. Delivery is required within 100 days after approval of First Article Units at a rate of 10 units per month. The point of deliver will be SW3119 (Production Units) or FD2060 (First Article Units). This acquisition is being processed as a sole source buy to Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing Inc, Cage: 45934, a LB under the authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1). This solicitation will result in a definitive 'C' Contract Award. Applicable TO: 12P6-2APS133-12. Length: 7 Ins, Width: 6.5 Ins, Height: 6.75 Ins, Weight: 15 Lbs. Predominant material of manufacture: Aluminum with circuit boards and transformer attached. Form/Fit/Function: This radar modulator is an electronic device which produces a succession of energy pulses for triggering a transmitter tube in the radar set. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. 22. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. 26. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
