Description
This is a Request for Information (RFI) on behalf of the US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) in Edgewood Maryland. USAMRICD has a requirement for a Typhoon Trio Plus for laboratory/research use. The suggested source is GE Healthcare Bio-Scinces and the part numbers are 29004080 Typhoon FLA9500, 29002822 Inside Delivery, 28956407 BPFR800 filter, 28998432 Biomolec Imag Pkg, 28989305 Installation, and 28960619 Light Source. The following Salient Requirements must be met with any equipment proposed: Instrument must have 3 solid-state lasers and an option to add a 4th laser for near IR applications, Must have a pixel resolution of at least 10 microns, Must have pixel resolution options as small as 1000 microns, Output of the images must be in the form of a.gel file with.tif file format option, Images acquired must be compatible with our current analysis software packages (ImageQuant TL and DeCyder 2D), Must be able to acquire images for Cy dye-based difference gel electrophoresis as well as other fluorescent applications including tissue slides and 96 well assays, Must also be able to acquire images for coomassie, silver, and other stained samples, Must be able to detect signals on a storage phosphor screen, and Must have a scan area of at least 40x46 cm. This RFI requests all responsible small businesses that can provide this equipment, to submit a capabailities statement to the Contracts Specialist, Erin Maddox at erin.maddox@amedd.army.mil. All responses must be sent before 29 June 2012 at 8:00 am. eastern standard time. This is a brand name or equal procurement.
