- Description: This synopsis is for the construction of two separate projects. These projects, if funded, will result in a single contract award. These projects are being solicited under the Air Force Straddle Bid Authority. Funds are not currently available for this project, and no award will be made until funds become available. The Government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation, either before or after the proposal closing date with no obligation to the offeror. FAR clause 52.232-18, Availability of Funds will be incorporated into the solicitation. FTEV 11-1227 Construct Cage Addition for 23 STS: This synopsis is for the addition of a pre-engineered steel structure to building 91037. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision, and equipment to perform all operations necessary to accomplish all work as shown on the drawings and in the specifications. The general work includes, but is not limited to a new addition to building 91037, construct a pre-engineered steel structure, with concrete slab, the installation of mechanical systems to condition the building, installation of masonry veneer, installation of a metal desk, rigid insulation, standing seam metal roof, and site work to support the facility. FTEV 09-1173 SOF Construct Special TACT Rooms for 23 STS: This synopsis is for the addition of a pre-engineered steel structure to building 91032. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision, and equipment necessary to accomplish all work as shown on the drawings and in the specifications. The general work includes, but is not limited to a new addition to building 91032, construct a pre-engineered steel structure, with concrete slab, installation of mechanical systems to condition the building, installation of fire protection system, installation of masonry veneer, installation of standing seam metal roof, and site work to support the facility. This acquisition will be set aside for HUB-Zone offerors only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5M. This contract will be a “Performance Price Trade-Off” contract; award will be made based on the “Best Value” to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. Performance period is 210 calendar days. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Payment and performance bonds will be required within ten (10) days of contract award. The work is required in support of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 7 July 2012. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Registration Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. This solicitation will be available ONLY via the Internet at the following address: http://www.fbo.gov.
