The synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, invitation for bid nor does its issuance in any way restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center/PKOA is seeking expressions of interest having the capability to provide a photonic electronic field sensor system. The photonic electronic field sensor system should be able to meet the following specifications: The necessary requirements for the Frequency range of operation: 10 Hz to 1 GHz E-field measurement range: 100 V/m to 50 kV/m Sensor response may become nonlinear at E-field > 100 kV/m Approximate E-field probe dimensions: 75 mm x 20 mm x 20mm Fiber cable length: 10 m The system consists of a laser source, an optical receiver and an electric field probe and a duplex fiber optic cable. Laser source and optical receiver operate using mains power supply. E-field probe does not require electrical power. The E-field probe is an optical sensor that will be packaged in an ABS plastic case. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334513, Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing for Measuring, Displaying, and Controlling Industrial Process Variables, and the size standard for small business is 500 employees. The Federal Stock Class (FSC) is 6640, Laboratory Equipment and Supplies. Firms responding to this announcement must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and should include company name, cage code, point of contact, address and indicate whether the pumps can be provided under a Federal Supply Schedule.
