Description
The U.S. EPA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, with Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF) to organize and provide logistical support for conducting a two-day expert workshop on radionuclides in wastewater collection and treatment systems for the National Homeland Security Research Center, 26 W. Martin Luther King Dr., Cincinnati, OH 45258. EPA has identified Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF) as the only contractor able to meet the requirements of this procurement. The EPA?s National Homeland Security Research Center (NHSRC) at 26 W. Martin Luther King Dr., Cincinnati, OH 45286 purpose of this workshop is to identify and convene highly qualified subject matter experts, with unique expertise to advise NHSRC about what technical information operators of waste water collection and treatment systems need in order to minimize the impact on public health, worker safety, wastewater system efficiency, and the environment. The Water Environment Research Foundation is the preeminent independent scientific research organization dedicated to wastewater and is the research arm of the Water Environment Federation. The Water Environment Research Foundation can provide technical and logistical support necessary to plan, organize, and conduct a two-day workshop. Water Environment Research Foundation shall arrange all meeting times, travel arrangements, and any other requirements sought by the EPA. Act as a facilitator among the EPA and others at meetings while providing reports on the conclusions of the waste water collection and how it handles with radionuclides. This procurement will be accomplished under FAR Part 15 Contracting by Negotiation. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Sources wishing to be considered MUST submit documentation to the office identified above. Documentation must be submitted within 7 calendar days of the date of publication of this notice.
