- SOURCES SOUGHT This Sources Sought is being issued for planning purposes only and it is not a solicitation or pre-solicitation. Responses to this notice are not considered as offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. THE AIR FORCE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY COSTS INCURRED BY INTERESTED PARTIES IN RESPONSDING TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT. The 628th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, SC is seeking information from contractors who are capable of providing and installing a Fall Arrest/Fall Protection System including: All management, tools, supplies, materials, equipment, labor, and inspection necessary to install/repair/service/adjust/maintain the fall arrest system. This ceiling-supported system will be installed in the aircraft fuels maintenance hangar and will require engineering, design, and fabrication to fit the building dimensions to allow maintenance personnel to maneuver safely above the C-17 aircraft. The service required will consist of installation, operational tests, compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations, and training for maintenance personnel. The installation may require minor modifications to existing electrical, HVAC, and pneumatic air systems above aircraft wings. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated. Small and large businesses are sought. AT A MINIMUM, THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS REQUIRED: (a) Capabilities Statement consisting of appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references limited to five (5) pages. The capability statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a proposal but rather short statements regarding the company's capability to provide the item. (b) A positive statement of your intention to bid on this contract as a prime contractor; (c) Evidence of three (3) recent experiences in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, and dollar amounts, points of contact with current telephone numbers and percent and description of work performed. (d) Each responder shall identify whether they are large or small business. For the definition of a small business, refer to http://www.sba.gov/. All of the above information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested businesses. Failure to submit all information requested may result in a contractor not being considered as an interested vendor. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 339113 with applicable small business size standards. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.fbo.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to visit this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award.
