- Description
- The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), National Hansen's Disease Program (NHDP) has a requirement entitled to provide linen service to support animal care and research laboratory functions. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supervision, supplies, bulk delivery carts, transportation, and facilities necessary to provide linen service. All linen to be provided by the contractor and includes research laboratory and animal care linen items (wraps, surgical gowns, scrubs and lab coats). Lab coats are required to be personalized. The contractor shall wash and process the linen in full compliance with all applicable federal, state and local government regulations regarding control of infectious diseases, and return such linen to the government free of soil, stains and pathogenic or other contaminant agents. Pick-up and delivery will be to NHDP, Lab Research, LSU-SVM, Skip Bertmann Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70813. The period of performance shall be for a base period of twelve (12) months with two (2) twelve (12) month option periods. The solicitation number 12-258-SOL-00046 and any documents relating to this requirement will only be available through the internet at www.fedbizopps.gov. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments. Offerors are encouraged to sign-up, on the fedbizopps.gov website, for email notification of all actions relevant to this solicitation, and on the interested vendors list, also listed at the bottom of this announcement. The anticipated date for release of a solicitation is approximately 15 days from the date of this notice. No questions will be entertained at this time. Once the solicitation is released, offerors will be given an opportunity to ask questions and answers will be posted to www.fedbizopps.gov. The NAICS code for this requirement is 812332. These services will be procured in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures FAR Part 13.
