Description
The U.S. House of Representatives will host an Industry Day on Friday, July 20, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon EDT. The purpose of this event is to introduce upcoming modernization projects for the Office of the Law Revision Counsel and the House Office of the Legislative Counsel as summarized in the attached Statement of Objectives that may be downloaded from the following web site http://www.house.gov and selecting Doing Business with the House. The House seeks feedback, comments and questions from potential participants. The House intends to issue a directed, fast-track solicitation to select one or more system integrators who will be responsible for assembling and managing resources to ensure successful outcomes of the projects. Vendors with recent experience implementing legislative, regulatory, or legal information systems that support core functions such as drafting, work flow, amendment process, codification, citations and publishing are preferred. Experience in legislative or regulatory XML is strongly encouraged. XML experience and a strong track record in project management are mandatory for both projects. Registration is required by submitting an e-mail no later than Wednesday, July 18, 2012 to kyle.griggs@mail.house.gov and jim.caskey@mail.house.gov with the company name, attendee name, title, phone number, and email address of the participants. Please include a capability statement with your registration information. There is a limit of three individuals per contractor. Upon registration, you will be provided with details of the location for the conference.
