Questions and Answers for SOL-C-12-00053 1) Question: What are the stack parameters to be measured estimated concentrations? Answer: See the tables below for the low and high ranges and minimum detectable limits for each gas for Benches #1 & #2. Answer: Ambient temperature and pressure. Sample lines may require pulling samples from chambers running at -20? H2O (negative 20?) vacuum level. 3) Question: Will we need to provide a sample probe? Answer: No If so please provide the stack information: Stack Outside Diameter ? Not applicable Stack Wall Thickness ?Not applicable Flange Size ? Not applicable 4) Question: What is your instrument air pressure at site? Answer: Instrument air pressure is available up to 90 psi. 5) Question: Do you prefer a Dilution or Full Extractive System? Answer: Full extractive system. 6) Question: Will we need to provide a sample probe if so please provide sample point information: Answer: No 7) Question: Please provide me detail on what capabilities you require from the Human Monitor Interface (HMI) terminal? Answer: We need an Ethernet net (TCP/IP) connection to interface with our own control and data system and either a 0-1 v, 0 ? 5 v, or 0-10 v DC analog output for each instrument. 8) Question: For the list of analyzers on both Bench #1 and #2, please provide the range requirements for each component Answer: See previous table for question 1. 9) Question: From the description within the bid document, the analyzers for both Bench #1 and #2 shall be installed in dual bay racks. Please confirm the desired arrangement for each system. Answer: Bench 1 instruments will be mounted in dual side by side racks. Instruments will be slide mounted. Rack will include casters for portability. Bench 2 instruments will be mounted in one vertical rack. Instruments will be slide mounted. Rack will include casters for portability. 10) Question: From the bid document, it appears that you do not require any plumbing, wiring of the system or data acquisition system. Please confirm that the limit of delivery of both systems will be the inlet sample ports of each analyzer. Answer: The limit of the delivery of both systems will be the inlet sample port, the Ethernet connection and the DC volt analog output. 11) Question: Please confirm the requirement for "installation, acceptance testing, and training" as noted in the last paragraph of the bid request document. Answer: Installation: No on-site installation is required. Acceptance testing: The instruments must operate according to the manufacturer?s specifications. Training: One day of training is requested; approximately one half day for each bench. Training should include setup, routine operation, calibration, data interface operation, and routine maintenance procedures. 12) Question: Will there be a more detailed specification coming? Answer: No the specifications are as stated. Additional Information: Additionally, we require submission for each instrument type of 1 each instrument manual, 1 each instrument plumbing (internal and external connections) schematic, 1 each instrument external wiring connection schematic and plug/terminal configuration. These documents should be submitted within 2 weeks of receipt of order. The due date for all quotes have been extended to 4:30 PM, EDT, July 24, 2012. Submit quote via email to: yates.william@epa.gov and to davies.david@epa.gov with subject line: "Air Quality Monitoring System, SOL-C-12-00053. Telephone requests for information may be honored.
