Description
The proposed procurement is restricted to Small Business contractors. NAICS 237990, size standard $33,500,000. The magnitude of construction is $1,000,000-$5,000,000. This is a construction project for the Northwest Branch Section 206 Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Package, Anacostia River, MD. This project is a stream restoration and fish passage improvement of three sections of the Northwest Branch which drains into the Anacostia River. Specifically, approximately 3000 feet, running downstream from Beaumont Road to the confluence with Northwest Branch main stem (known as the Sherwood site), approximately 1100 feet, running downstream from Layhill Road through the Northwest Branch Park Golf Course and 1850 feet running upstream from Layhill Road (known as the Batchellors Run I and II site), and approximately 2500 feet, along the Sandy Spring tributary, running upstream from Ednor Road (known as the Woodlawn site), located in Montgomery County, Maryland. The work shall be completed within 285 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizOpps on or about 20 July 2012. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all authenticated account holders of Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) System. Please note that all Corps of Engineers acquisitions are considered Sensitive, but unclassified documents and require users to have valid MPIN entered in the FBO systems to access package. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the Internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. No phone or fax request for copy of solicitation will be accepted. All questions shall be submitted via email only to James.A.Mazurick@usace.army.mil.
