Description
This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-27. This is an unrestricted requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 511210. The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement for the United Stated Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases for Mascot Server Licenses (20 cpu license) with the following Minimum Essential Characteristics: Require software, a standard platform for protein identification using mass spectrometry data. Is important that this platform run on different computer systems, such as, Microsoft Windows, Linux and Solaris. Item should be fast and should be able to run on a sufficient number of processors as to achieve the required throughput. Is important that it accepts peak list data from the following manufacturer's instruments: Agilent, Bruker, ThermoFisher Scientific (Finnigan), Shimadzu (Kratos), Waters (Micromass), and AB SCIEX (Applied Biosystems). Item must perform high throughput work and closed loop automation. Item must allow HTML forms and Perl scripts to be customized. Item should have no limit on the number of users that can submit searches to the server. Is important that the warranty provides access to expert technical support, include free updates to all new releases and will not charge to swap to another supported platform. Item must have capability to specify hybrid taxonomy identifiers and have that specificity available to different search parameter files. Item must be able to perform "real time" monitoring of mass spectrometry files during acquisition and submit them for search upon completion. Must be in compliance with Section 508. Section 508 refers to electronic and information technology (EIT), such as hardware, software, systems, etc. that are developed, procured, maintained, or used in the federal government. Such products must be accessible to persons with disabilities. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ or https://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about, July 10, 2012, and will only be available until July 25, 2012. Specifications of the requirement are provided in solicitation: W81XWH-12-T-0277. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. To be eligible for an award, offerors MUST be registered with the Central Contractor Registry at https://ccr.gov/ and may have completed its representations and certification found at https://orca.bpn.gov/.
