Description

THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This is a notice of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing's (BEP) intent to solicit and award a sole source procurement set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation wherein circumstances of the contract action deem only one responsible source and no other supplies or services provider will satisfy agency requirements. The purpose of the requirement is to establish a sole source award under FAR Subpart 6.302-1 for replacement of a plate cylinder on an I-10 Intaglio press located in BEP's Fort Worth, TX Facility. The BEP intends to award this contract to KBA-Notasys SA, Avenue du Gray 55, Lausanne Switzerland 1022. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their ability to provide equipment needed by the BEP. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than noon Eastern Time July 20, 2012. All responses must be in writing and are to be sent via email to the point of contact specified in this notice. NOTHING HEREIN SHOULD BE MISCONSTRUED AS A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS, QUOTES OR BIDS. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENTATION IS AVAILABLE NOR WILL BE ISSUED.
